Explore the innovative ways countries are revolutionizing farming to ensure we can feed humanity in a way that works with the environment.
—
About 10,000 years ago, humans began to farm. This agricultural revolution was a turning point in our history and enabled the existence of civilization. Today, nearly 40% of our planet is farmland. Spread all over the world, these lands are the pieces to a global puzzle we’re all facing: in the future, how can we feed every member of a growing population a healthy diet? Brent Loken investigates.

There is absolutely NOTHING cuter than the baby monkey at 3:30
5:17 hey man please use the correct map of india you have not shown 2 important union territories of INDIA i..e. JAMMU AND KASHMIR AND LADAKH research well before using any illustration
this is not gonna happen. i am a country person and i will defend this from happening. farmers are not gonna like this idea.. growing food will take much longer.
these methods would actually help other poor countries….
Explains Bill Gates Part in covid’ Buying farm land after Collapsing farms
This is unscientific, hippie, alarmist BS. The near-term human population is most of the way to capping out, and farming becomes more productive over time due to incremental improvements that are driven by capitalism. We don't need an international 'revolution' to do anything. Also, this vision of sprawling farms mixed in with jungle and wildlife is ridiculous. It would be so inefficient to pick through all the non-crop plants, and the animals would be eating the crops all the time. Have you people ever been out in nature? Future farms are going to be more compact in greenhouse towers with controlled environments for hyper productive yields without the need for pesticides, fertilizers, mass flooding, etc.
I desagree.
Anyone heard of vertical panic where produce is grown in a warehouse with vertical sheets?
We don't need perfect farms. We need lesser mouth to feed. You can't feed unlimited population with limited planet.
Personally we are not in an agricultural revolution. I view it as a environmental revolution. Should take into account everything. View the earth as a closed system with different variables but ultimately keeping the environmental in a positive direction. We help the environment and we help us.
Meat and plant pulps will be grown directly from stem cells and then 3d bioprinted. That's the real future of food.
You're goddamn right, you can
Save. earth. save. plants🌿☘️🌱🌱
Drones and sensors are cool an all, but how about some Permaculture, Regenerative Agriculture, Silvopasture, etc. And while we (in the US) could certainly reduce our meat consumption, animals are in integral part of the farming ecosystem, and when raised correctly, they do not pose as big a problem for greenhouse emissions.
you didn't talk about permaculture
Global one child policy. Incentives for zero children.
The animation is beyond lit! I am an aspiring agriculturist and I think that the world needs to watch this video. I hope that someday I could have contributions to the agriculture industry here in our country, Philippines.
Why there is no Kashmir in India's map shown here ??
Why have you shown wrong map of India ??
Many issues have to be approached soon, but this is not only from the scientific point: science will not be able to save us if we dont change the politics that every country has about this topic, and our personal choices. On regard of the later, It would have been very nice to focus the video toward plant based diets, the future needs us to move on from animal products.
Plant based diets are the one single change everyone can make that has a powerful impact for the environment, because of that 40% farmland, about 35% is used to feed animals for human consumption. We can make the change, and it will not require us to wait until political forces decide to take action or a brilliant scientist to discover a miracle solution to all of our problems.
we should focus more on population explosion and sending our consciousness to the robot.
Fking legend, demon of logic
That piano music was as bad as running your fingernails across a chalkboard. I had to stop watching the video.
Cattle and grass lands in us does not do what you say. That idea has been proven false against the data. It is not OK to think they are doing something positive for the environment when they could easily follow a more plant based diet and do much more
You showed wrong map of India. Kashmir is perpetual and integral part of India. You did mistake. You disrespected India.
Seems like a high-maintanance and expensive route to take, but I agree with it. Looks like so many things could go wrong with this approach.. I'm only voicing concerns because I love the idea of saving the world from climate change and I don't want this to fail.
You don't know indian map/mentioned indian map in a wrong way/ and you are saying what happening in India
I really enjoyed this, good content, informative, and well presented.

If life depends on good food we are already dead because the world does Not live on food only but by every Word that proceeds out of the Lord God Jesus' Teachings. And food just gives us time to change our ways before We Die.
